Mentorship Programme

WFNR MENTORSHIP PROGRAMME

The success of a professional society, like the World Federation of Neurorehabilitation (WFNR), heavily depends on whether it can attract and retain young members or not. WFNR has launched a global mentoring programme with the goal of promoting the mentoring culture of WFNR - a culture that welcomes early career neuro-rehabilitation professionals of all backgrounds from all countries and prepares them to become future leaders in neurorehabilitation.

The mentor/mentee relationship is a voluntary, professional relationship whereby both parties meet, define goals, commit, and work towards a successful strong collaboration.

Mentors will work with mentees to challenge them, set career goals for them and who will invest in their career and can provide answers or direction to their questions.  They can provide constructive feedback, support, and respect their mentee.

The mentors will be volunteers so mentees must respect their time, develop trust, take responsibility for their own learning, agree realistic expectations, come to meetings with a prepared agenda, be open about their needs and provide feedback.

WFNR has a list of mentors who are willing and able to accept mentees.  Their profiles, including their expertise and how many mentees they can accept, can be found by clicking on the name:
